Based on its strategic plan to support excellence, creativity, innovation and spread the culture of entrepreneurship, and through the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects, the Jordan University of Science and Technology hosted today, Sunday 9/2/2025, the launch ceremony of the Al Hussein Fund for Graduation Projects Award (Entalaq) for the northern governorates, organized by the Al Hussein Fund for Creativity and Excellence and attended by the Vice President of the University
Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Ajlouni, and representatives of the presidents of universities and applied colleges in the northern governorates, entrepreneurship and innovation institutions and technical companies in these governorates, and in the presence of Professor Muhannad Quwaider, Director of the Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects at the university, where cooperation will be made with business incubators and networking of winning students with international companies that add to their expertise and skills in marketing their projects and introducing investors to them. Al-Ajlouni stressed the role of this initiative in promoting the culture of entrepreneurship and technological development among students, noting that the university pays great attention to supporting student creativity and creating an incubator environment for entrepreneurial projects. Quwaider also pointed out that the award represents an important opportunity for students to present their creative ideas and transform them into projects with a real impact, stressing that the center provides support for projects through guidance and direction and providing the appropriate environment for their development and linking them with supporting entities. The ceremony also witnessed a display of the most prominent student projects that excelled in the fields of technology, engineering and applied sciences, where a number of creative students were honored in appreciation of their efforts and achievements.
It is worth noting that the award aims to motivate Jordanian youth to present innovative ideas and solutions to the problems and challenges facing the Kingdom in the coming years through emerging projects capable of bringing about positive change and achieving sustainable economic development, as students participate in the award with their projects through universities and in several fields including: energy technologies, water, information technology, science, health services, environmental sustainability, planning and infrastructure, agriculture and food security.
