A Seminar on the work and training opportunities at Second Step Software Development – Jordan
As part of its activities under the umbrella of the EU-funded ELEGANT project, which aims at providing the graduates of the College of Computer and Information Technology with enhanced work opportunities, The Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects cooperated with the Second Step Software Development in holding an online workshop on Thursday, 25th March 2021. The workshop introduces the work and training opportunities available for the graduates and the students of the College of Computer and Information Technology, who haven't finished the training course at the Second Step company.
Mr. Samer Suleiman from CEIP, liaison officer of the ELEGANT project, welcomed the students and the colleagues from the Second Step Software Development company and informed them about the project's aims. He also explained the role CEIP plays in enhancing the job opportunities for the graduates of the College of Computer and Information Technology at Jordan University of Science and Technology.
The workshop was coordinated by Mr. Talal Kana'an, the company's software development manager, who talked about the emergence of the company, its activities, and its role in serving Irbid governorate by providing its residence and university graduates with work opportunities.
Mr. Amer Al-Anabtawi, business analysis manager, discussed the completed and the ongoing projects of the company in Jordan and the region like the school management system and the hospital management system. In addition to the work opportunities these projects offer.
Mr. Amer Subuh, a training officer at the company, provided the students with a complete summary of the company's training including, its techniques, procedures, and goals.
At the end of the workshop, Mr. Talal Kana'an and his colleagues answered the students' questions regarding the company's activities and the available work and training opportunities, and the application method.
The workshop was attended by 60 students from the College of Computer and Information Technology.
