تبوأت جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا الأردنية المركز الأول محلياً في تصنيف الـتايمز  THE العالمي لأفضل مئتي جامعة في قارة آسيا للعام 2015/2016 و تلتها الجامعة الأردنية، وذلك وفق النتائج التي أعلنت رسمياً مؤخراً. 

يذكر أن هذا التصنيف يستند إلى ذات المعايير الخاصة بتصنيف الجامعات العالمية والتي تركز على جودة العملية التدريسية للجامعة وعدد الأبحاث و تأثير هذه الأبحاث و حجم الاستشهاد بها و العالمية و مستوى علاقة الجامعة مع الصناعة.

وأشار رئيس جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا الأردنية بالوكالة الدكتور أحمد بطيحة الى أن الجامعة وباحتلالها هذا الموقع تثبت مرةً أخرى بأنها تسعى وتتقدم لتحقيق رؤيتها للوصول الى العالمية من خلال ظهورها في هذا التصنيف المرموق الذي يستند إلى معايير عالمية ذات متطلبات عالية يحتل فيها البحث العلمي من حيث الكم والنوع موقعأ متقدما. 

يشار إلى أن جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا  هي واحدة من عشر جامعات في العالم العربي ظهرت في هذا التصنيف.

JUST Ranks Number One Locally in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for the Best Asian Universities

By landing in the first spot locally, and among 200 best Asian universities, JUST has made a new leap toward internationalization though the Times Global University Rankings, according to results recently officially announced.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2015-2016 list the best global universities and are the only international university performance tables to judge world class universities across all of their core missions - teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

The top universities rankings employ 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available, which are trusted by students, academics, university leaders, industry and governments. This year's ranking includes 800 universities from 70 different countries, compared with the 400 universities from 41 countries in last year's table.

It is noteworthy that this ranking is based many performance indicators directly relevant to students and their families, to help them chose where to study, including faculty-student ratios, the university's global reputation, its total resources, the international mix on campus, and its links to industry

JUST Acting President Professor Ahmad Betieha said that JUST Ranking proves that it is seeking and progressing to achieve its vision Towards a pioneer and world class university distinguished in the fields of building a knowledge society, teaching, research, and development, innovation and providing services to societies at national and international levels.
