​President of JUST Visits Several American Universities​

Professor Mahmoud Al-Sheyyab, President of JUST, accompanied by the Dean of Engineering and the Dean of Pharmacy met with several American universities delegates during his visit to the US.

Professor Al-Sheyyab signed a memorandum of understanding with the President of Iowa University, Prof. Bruce Harreld, to mark the beginning of a mutually beneficial partnership among faculty members, students and researchers, especially in Medical fields.

He also visited University of Illinois at Chicago, and University of Illinois at Urban Champaign and Xavier University. The aim of these visits was to establish joint research initiatives, student and scholarly exchanges and other academic collaborations with JUST, as well as future joint projects addressing the special rsearch concerns of Jordan.

Professor Al-Sheyyab highlighted various opportunities and challenges related to technology transfer and innovation in Jordan, Furthermore, he addressed JUST's ongoing efforts on the road towards innovation and nanotechnology, by establishing a specialized centers of excellence for innovative projects and nanotechnology center that houses technological incubators and fosters the notion of start-up and spinoff companies.

Professor Al-Sheyyab said: "Our visit will result in a stronger collaboration between American prestigious Universities and JUST in areas of Medical Sciences, professional clinical training and scientific Research".

Presidents of American universities indicated that the visit continue to build upon the strong relationships that exist between their Universities and JUST.
