Two Professors form Chiba University in Japan D: r. Yayoi Iwasaki, RN, PhD Professor, Disaster Nursing, Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing; and Dr. Yuki Mochizuki, PhD Associate Professor, Psychiatric Nursing has visited Jordan University of Science and Technology/Faculty of Nursing. Their visit is scheduled from Feb 28 to March 2, 2017.

The purpose of their visit is to collaborate and explore opportunities for establishing a partner university with which they can offer internship or learning experience of working for people displaced by conflict.  The graduate program they offer in Japan aims to promote human security through educating nurses with profound understanding in disaster nursing. 

Through this collaboration and because the Faculty of Nursing at Jordan University of Science and Technology has a rich experience in working with people affected by conflict, their students would be able to gain knowledge in humanitarian assistance for survivors/refugees of disasters, conflict, and other global challenges. Student exchange programs for both universities will be explored as well.

بحث التعاون بين التكنولوجيا وشيبا اليابانية

التقى رئيس جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا الأردنية الدكتور عمر الجراح وفد من جامعة شيبا (Chiba) اليابانية، وجرى خلال اللقاء بحث افاق التعاون والتنسيق بين كلية التمريض في جامعة شيبا (Chiba) اليابانية وكلية التمريض في جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا في عدد من برنامج التبادل الطلابي، خاصة في مجال تدريب الطلاب على التعامل مع الازمات والكوارث البشرية في المنطقة.

وقال الدكتور الجراح أن مثل هذه اللقاءات تهدف إلى زيادة التفاعل وتوطيد العلاقات مع المؤسسات والجامعات اليابانية وتوظيف هذه العلاقات في خدمة البحث العلمي والأكاديمي.
