رعى نائب رئيس جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا الدكتور خالد السالم، إطلاق فعاليات مشروع JUST- CRS ( ماجستير علوم التأهيل السريري ) والمدعوم من الأتحاد الأوروبي ضمن برنامج إراسموس بلس Erasmus + Capacity Building in Higher Education  والذي يهدف الى الاستفادة من خبرات الجامعات في الأتحاد الأوروبي لتعزيز و بناء القدرات لبرامج التعليم العالي و العاملين بها في الدول المجاورة و الشريكة للإتحاد الأوروبي و من ضمنها الأردن.

وكانت جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا الاردنية فازت بمشروع JUST- CRS في دورة برنامج ايراسموس بلس الحالية للعام 2016 والذي يهدف الى إنشاء برنامج ماجستير علوم تأهيل سريري في كلية العلوم الطبية التطبيقية.

وعرض الدكتور السالم نبذة عن مسيرة الجامعة الاكاديمية وبرامجها والخطط الدراسية وأبرز إنجازاتها على المستوى المحلي والدولي وسعيها للعالمية. وأكد خلال لقائه مندوبي الدول المشاركة من كل من بريطانيا وتركيا والبرتغال، بالإضافة إلى عدد من المؤسسات الوطنية من الجامعة الأردنية و الجامعة الهاشمية، ان جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا الأردنية تتطلع لتعزيز شراكات بحثية من خلال برنامج ايراسموس بلس من اجل دعم وتشجيع تطوير برامج عالمية تجمع تخصصات متعددة كما هو الحال في هذا المشروع (العلاج الوظيفي و العلاج الطبيعي)، سيما وان الجامعة تتمتع ببيئة خصبة والبنى التحتية اللازمة للبحث العلمي من خلال عدد من المراكز العلمية و وجود مستشفى جامعي متميز و شركاء فاعلين من المجتمع المحلي و وجود أعضاء هيئة تدريس وكوادر من أصحاب الخبرات المؤهلة مؤكد على اهمية هذه البرامج التي تقود جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا الأردنية الى العالمية.

الدكتورة ريم الخضر مسؤولة المشاريع في مكتب إراسموس بلس الوطني سلطت الضوء على نشاطات المكتب ونوعية المشاريع التي يقوم بدعمها والمنح والمشروعات التي يقدمها المكتب والفرص وبرامج التبادل الأكاديمي المتوفرة للهيئات التدريسية والطلبة ضمن برنامج (Erasmus+).

وأشادت الدكتورة الخضر في حصيلة البرامج التي فازت بها جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا الأردنية حيث قالت: لقد كان حصة جامعة العلوم في هذه المشاريع في الفترة ما بين عام 2002 وعام 2013 ما مجموعه 14 مشروع. في عام 2015، فازت الجامعة بعشر مشاريع، واحدا منها كانت الجامعة متقدم اساسي. في عام 2016، فازت الجامعة بأربع مشاريع كان منها مشروعين كمتقدم أساسي. إن هذا لدليل ملموس على الممارسات السليمة في ادارة هذه المشاريع، و كذلك جهود جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا الأردنية الجبارة في بناء و تطور التعليم العالي  في الأردن من خلال تعاون الجامعة المميز مع الجامعات و المراكز العلمية  في الاتحاد الأوروبي" .  وحثت الدكتورة الخضر المشاركين الى ضرورة الاستفادة من برنامج ايراسموس بلس للارتقاء بمستوى التعليم العالي في الأردن.

من جهته أكد عميد كلية العلوم الطبية التطبيقية الدكتور محمد الجراح على اهمية انجاح هذا المشروع لما فيه مصلحة الجامعة والطلبة على حد سواء والعمل على اقامة تشاركية دولية لكافة برامج الكلية مع نظيراتها العالمية. و أكد الدكتور الجراح بأن تقديم الدعم والتسهيلات اللازمة لإنجاح هذا المشروع يصب نحو تحقيق هدف الجامعة لتصبح جامعة عالمية.

و عرض منسق المشروع الدكتور محمد نزال عرضا تعريفيا بالمشروع من حيث أهدافه و مراحله و مخرجاته. حيث يهدف المشروع الى إنشاء برنامج ماجستير سريري في علوم التأهيل من شأنه أن يحدث طفرة متميزة في نوعية الخدمات التأهيلية المقدمة وكذلك تطوير مهنتي العلاج الوظيفي والعلاج الطبيعي في الأردن.

الى ذلك ناقش فريق إدارة المشروع خلال الورشة التي نظمها في الجامعة بحضور عميد كلية العلوم الطبية التطبيقية، وأعضاء هيئة التدريس في تخصصي العلاج الوظيفي والطبيعي في قسم علوم التأهيل بإستعراض برنامج عمل المشروع وخطط العمل المتعلقة بالأهداف والخطط المستقبلية والمخرجات الأكاديمية والأهداف التعليمية لبرنامج الماجستير والتي تم صياغتها بطريقة علمية وممنهجة لتغطية كافة نتائج دراسة واقع وإحتياجات مهنتي العلاج الوظيفي والطبيعي في الأردن،

Launch of JUST-CRS project funded by the European Erasmus + program at Jordan University of Science & Technology

The Vice President of Jordan University of Science & Technology, Prof. Khaled Al-Salem, has patronized the launching of JUST-CRS project at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences. JUST-CRS is an Erasmus + EU funded project within the Capacity Building in Higher Education program which aims to increase European institutions’ collaboration with other institutions from partner countries including Jordan. Jordan University of Science and Technology has won the JUST-CRS project in the current cycle of Erasmus Plus program of this year and it aims to build a clinical interdisciplinary rehabilitation masters program at JUST. Prof. Al-Salem has welcomed the attendees and debriefed them on JUST’s mission and vision, academic programs, achievements and goals to become a distinguished university, regionally and internationally. The meeting was attended by representatives of the participating countries, Britain, Turkey and Portugal, in addition to a number of national institutions; The University of Jordan and the Hashemite University. During the meeting, Prof. Al-Salem stated that Jordan University of Science and Technology looks forward to strengthening research partnership through the Erasmus Plus projects in order to support and encourage the development of global programs that are interdisciplinary in nature, as is the case in this project (physical and occupational therapy). Such projects are encouraged especially as the university enjoys a rich environment and infrastructure required for scientific research through a number of scientific centers, the presence of a distinguished university hospital, active partners within the local community, and the presence of faculty members and staff with qualified expertise, and confirmed the importance of this project as one step closer for JUST towards becoming an internationally recognized institution. Dr. Reem Alkhader, Projects’ Officer at the National Erasmus Plus office (NEO), on behalf of NEO Director; Prof. Ahmad Abu-El-Haija, shed light on the activities of the office, the quality of the projects it supports, the scholarships and projects the office sets forth, and the opportunities and academic exchange programs available to the faculty and students within the Erasmus+ program. Dr. Alkhader praised the quality and outcomes of the projects the Jordan University of Science and Technology has won since the beginning of the Tempus program up to the Erasmus Plus program, she said: "Jordan University of Science and Technology has been participating in Tempus projects since 2002 and continued its success through the years to reach a total of 14 projects in 2013. In 2015 alone JUST has won 10 projects under Erasmus + program, with one project as an applicant. In 2016, JUST has won 4 new projects with two projects as an applicant. This is a living evidence on the developing capacity of JUST in projects’ management and the remarkable efforts of JUST in contributing to the development of higher education in Jordan through its collaboration with EU institutions.” Dr. Alkhader also urged the attendees about the necessity of benefitting more and more from the Erasmus Plus program to raise the level of higher education in Jordan. From his side, the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Mohammad Al-Jarrah has confirmed the importance of success in this project due to its benefit towards the university and students both and working to build international partnerships for all the programs of the college with their international counterparts. Dr. Al-Jarrah also confirmed that providing the necessary support and facility for this project to succeed will help achieve the university's goal of becoming a global university. The coordinator of the project, Dr. Mohammad Nazzal, gave an introductory presentation on the project concerning its aims, work packages, and outcomes. The project aims to build an interdisciplinary clinical masters program in rehabilitation sciences which would ensure a great leap in the quality of offered rehabilitation services and the development of the physical and occupational therapy professions in Jordan and the Arab World. During the workshop, which opened in Jordan University of Science and Technology on Sunday and closed at the Movenpick Hotel in the Dead Sea on Monday through Wednesday, the project management team (Dr. Mohammad Nazzal, Dr. Hanan Khalil, Dr. Hikmat Haddoush) and the members of the partnering teams and in the presence of the dean of the Applied Medical Sciences College and the entire occupational and physical therapy faculty of rehabilitation sciences, presented the agenda of the project as well as the work plan related to the future aims and plans. The academic outcomes and learning objectives of the masters program were agreed upon, the wording was scientific and systemic to cover all the study outcomes and the needs of the physical and occupational therapy professions in Jordan, the study of which was undertaken at the beginning of this project. It is expected that placement of the required study plan will be concluded and approved by Jordan and the European Union with all the partners of the project in the near future. On the side of the first day of the workshop, the participating teams visited the rehabilitation sciences laboratories at the university and the physical and occupational therapy departments at the King Abdullah University Hospital, where they expressed their admiration of the advanced standards the Jordan University of Science and Technology has, and the professional levels rehabilitation sciences have reached in Jordan, and wished additional development for JUST on both regional and international scales.
