An exploration of the relationship between ourselves as individuals and society the course examines major contributors to the social science tradition including Ibn-Khaldoun, Frued, Mead, etc. Issues of personal and family relations, occupational aspiration, political organization, personal discipline and religious commitment are examined. Emphasis on personal identity and citizen leadership, consideration of the influence and ethical behavior were also examined.
