By the end of the course students are expected to have understood dermatology terms and how to describe skin lesions and rashes and to give a reasonable differential diagnosis and principles of management. Main skin problems should be learnt with some detail and especially infections and infestations, psoriasis and other common papulosquamous conditions, eczema, acne, erythemas, common diseases of hair and nails, Bullous disorders as well as skin structure and function. Special emphasis is given to teaching students how to obtain good dermatological history and how to properly describe dermatological lesions and rashes.
