Credit hours; This Lab. will introduce the students to the concept of low cost automation using electro-pneumatic, electro-hydraulic systems and PLCs to automate industrial processes. Microcontrollers (68HC11) will be used in selected applications. Sensors and LabView software will be integrated. MEMs manufacturing will be introduced through a set of videos. Finally, Fuzzy control will be experienced in one of the common applications of the fuzzy set theory.
