La càrrega es refereix a la transmissió de dades d'un sistema informàtic a un altre mitjançant una xarxa.[1] Els mètodes habituals de càrrega inclouen: càrrega mitjançant navegadors web, clients FTP] i terminals (SCP/SFTP). La càrrega es pot utilitzar en el context de clients (potencialment molts) que envien fitxers a un servidor central.
