​​Thank you for your interest in the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences (FAMS) at Jordan University of Science and Technology. There are so many exciting and fulfilling initiatives taking place in our faculty as we achieve excellence in our missions of education, research, patient care and service to community. The diverse faculty and student body and strong international student and faculty exchange made our programs to earn a national and international reputation. I can say with complete conviction that what makes our college exceptional are the faculty and staff who are dedicated to help our aspiring students to become the compassionate, highly skilled health-care providers of tomorrow. The faculty is deeply committed to educating outstanding students to become skilled caregivers and leaders in their fields who will, in turn, change the lives of the patients and families they serve in our local and national communities. In the faculty of AMS, we provide teaching and instruction for a range of health service careers. The faculty has four departments namely Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, Department of Allied Medical Sciences, Department of Medical laboratory Sciences, and Department of Allied Dental Sciences. We provide education and training for our students in the bachelor and master levels in 9 different health specialties.

In the Department Of Rehabilitation Sciences, we offer bachelor degrees in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Audiology, and Audiology and Speech Pathology combined. In the Department of Allied Medical Sciences, the bachelor degrees offered include Optometry, Radiologic Technology, and Paramedics. In these departments, we foster critical thinking skills and strive to teach students how to provide a well-thought assessment and treatment methods. Through this dynamic interplay, students learn how caring and compassionate leaders can use their skills to make their communities a better place.

The history of the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences goes back to 1986 with the Establishment of Jordan University of Science and Technology, where the department was hosted by The Faculty of Medicine. The undergraduate and graduate programs in this department enhanced the quality and reputation of higher education in the country through cooperation with other higher education institutions and well recognized hospitals and promoted quality standards in the field of clinical medical laboratory technology.

Our Allied Dental Sciences programs prepare the student for work as a valuable member of the dental health care team and for diverse career opportunities. In order to expose students to the most modern equipment and advanced treatment techniques, the department became highly equipped with the updated dental technology to meet the challenges in these health professions. Our department of Allied Dental Sciences offers two programs in Allied Dental Sciences and Dental Technology. Moreover, this department is providing preventive, educational and therapeutic services to the public.
