Mulligan Concept in Shoulder Management Workshop

The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at JUST hosted Dr. Hussain Nasser from Ahlia University at Kingdom of Bahrain on Thursday the 13th of November 2014. Dr Hussain is well recognized instructor in the Middle East in manual therapy field and he is the only certified Mulligan concept educator in the Middle East.
 
Dr. Hussain presented, in a full hour, the basics of Mulligan's concept approach and the fundamentals of application of the approach in clinical situations. After the presentation, the instructor demonstrated application of the technique to shoulder joint with active participation from the audience.
 
Applied Medical Sciences' dean, Prof. Yousef Khader, met the instructor and honored him with the university shield. The event was coordinated by the head of Rehabilitation Sciences Department Dr. Mikhled Maayeh and Dr. Saddam Kanaan. Physical therapy and occupational therapy faculty staff and students attended the presentation, as well as clinician from King Abdullah University Hospital. The attendees expressed their appreciation of organizing such event and emphasized the importance of these kind of presentations as an eye opening to the new methods that are beneficial for their learning in addition to the new skills that they can use to treat their patients.
