To Setup Wireless connection in windows 7, 8 and 10
1. Right-click on internet icon and select
"Open Network and Internet Settings".
- In the opened window scroll down to
“Network and Sharing Center”.
2. Select
"Set up a new connection or network"
3. When the dialog opens select
"Manually connect to a wireless network" and click “Next”.
The
"Manually connect to a wireless network" dialog box appears. Make the following entries in that box:
4. Enter
"JUST WLAN" as the Network name.
5. Select
"WPA2-Enterprise" as the Security type.
Then click
“Next”.
6. When the following dialog box appears, click on
"Change connection settings".
The
“JUST WLAN Wireless Network Properties" appears.
7. Click on the
"Security" tab.
8. Click on the
"Settings" button to display the next dialog box.
9. Make sure the
"Verify the server's identity by validating the certificate" is not checked.
Note: If you use Windows 7 you will see
“Validate Server Certificate” instead, uncheck it as well.
10. Click the
"Configure..." button.
11. Verify the
“Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)” box is not checked.
Click
“Ok”.
12. Click
“Ok”.
13. Back to the
Security tab, click on
"Advanced Settings".
14. Check
"Specify Authentication mode".
15. And choose
"User Authentication" from drop-down menu.
16. Click on
“Save credentials” button.
When
“Save credentials” window appears:
17. Enter your student ID and Wireless password.
Note: for students who admitted before 2017, the ID of wireless account is your old ID
(ex: 2015xxxxxxxxx)
Click
“Ok” for all opened windows and you done.
