The Youth-Friendly Clinic at the Faculty of Nursing​ at the Jordan University of Science and Technology conducted a practical workshop titled “Suicide Assessment from a Clinical Psychological Perspective.” This initiative comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to promote health awareness among its students and the academic community.

The workshop aimed to achieve several key objectives, most notably:

1. Breaking the barrier of fear around directly asking about suicide.
2. Scientifically defining and classifying suicidal behavior.
3. Enhancing clinical empathy toward patients.
4. Outlining assessment and intervention procedures for prevention and treatment.

This workshop was organized due to its importance for students in medical fields as they prepare to work in healthcare settings. It was delivered by Fidaa Abu Al-Khair and Noura Salah, and was attended by students and faculty members from the Faculty of Nursing on Tuesday, April 19 , 2026.
