The Smoking Cessation Clinic participated in the open medical day for Master's students in Maternal and Newborn Health enrolled in the practical Maternal and Newborn Health Nursing course, held at the Al-Takaful Health Center in Ramtha, under the title:
Implementing an awareness campaign on the importance of tobacco control and introducing the smoking cessation clinic. Preparing brochures and leaflets explaining the importance of mental health and its relationship to smoking, as well as the impact of smoking on the health of pregnant women and their children, in cooperation with Wellness Ambassadors. Promoting and raising health awareness among pregnant women and clarifying the health impact on the child.
Attending a number of pregnant women and members of the general public to highlight the details of the services offered by the clinic and to introduce the clinic and its importance.
Informational table and brochures explaining the impact of smoking on the health of pregnant women and their children.
Encouraging mothers to take steps towards quitting smoking.
Raising health awareness about the importance of combating tobacco use.
