The establishment of this Unit came as a result of merging Planning and Development Department with Information Department. The Unit is mainly charged with collecting statistical data about the University activities to set up a modern information system to help making decisions and implementing policies efficiently. 

    It also updates, classifies, analyses and prepares them for publishing in periodicals, bulletins and annual statistical or information yearbooks.

    The Unit also contributes in suggesting programs and administrative plans that aim at achieving development and simplifying work procedures.
