The International Relations Office at JUST hosted a delegation from Reykjavik University, one of its Erasmus partner in EU. This visit to strengthen relations between the two universities.
Delegation members, Ms. Guðlaug Matthildur, Director of International Office, Prof. Gísli Hjálmtýsson, Dean of the School of Computer Science, Dr. María S. Guðjónsdóttir, Head of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department and Dr. Mohammad Hamdaqa, School of Computer Science met with their peers at JUST; Prof. Suhil Kiwan, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Ismail Hmeidi, Dean of Faculty of Computer and Information Technology and discussed ways to strengthen the cooperation within existing partnership by identifying opportunities to go beyond simple student exchange.
The delegation then met with Dr. Fahid Awad, Director of Center of Excellence and Innovative Projects.
At the end of their visit the delegation toured around university campus and visited the Library Unit and met with its director, Eng. Raed Alzoubi.
This visit is part of the Erasmus+ ICM program where staff members from both program and partners countries meet to discuss the existing collaboration in ways to enhance it.
It worth to be mentioned that the IRO managed many mobilities with RU, three of JUST outgoing students are studying at RU and one incoming student from RU is studying at JUST this semester.
