The Director of the International Relations Office at Jordan University of Science and Technology, Dr. Feda Al-Tamimi, met virtually with international exchange student from Germany, Portugal, Italy and Turkey who will be studying at JUST at the second semester 2022 under the Erasmus+ ICM program. After welcoming them, Dr. Feda briefed the student about the teaching mode which will be considered during the exchange semester as he answered their questions regarding the academic part.
In order to ensure a successful implementation of their mobility, Ms. Fawzia Ammoura, Head of Academic Exchange Program Section, planned to organize both virtual meeting, prior to students’ arrival, and another physical meeting which will be held at the university campus upon their arrival. During the virtual meeting, Ms. Amoura checked the paperwork related to the students’ mobility including course selection, as she followed up with their travel arrangements and made sure that all of them managed to find a suitable accommodation with the support of ISN members. She also provided them with travel restrictions related to COVID-19 and made sure all of them are ready and well prepared for their mobility.
This year, JUST offered a free transportation for its incoming students from Queen Alia Airport in Amman to Irbid City. It worthy to be mentioned that incoming students will be covered by JUST health Insurance once they officially register and obtain their student ID card.
In a plan to prepare the students for the new cultural experience, Ms. Amoura students briefed about the university, Irbid City, and the cultural differences they may encounter and how to adapt with them. She shared the experiences of Erasmus students who studied at JUST in previous semesters. As they got excited to meet with the JUST ISN members who will be joining their journey and support them during their stay.
We grasp the chance to thank JUST ISN team leaders and members for all their efforts trying to create a more mobile and flexible education environment by supporting and developing student exchanges on different levels.
