Under the Patronage of HRH Princess Alia bint Al Hussein, Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) organized the Third International Conference on One Health and Veterinary Innovations in Amman on August 17, with the participation of researchers, academics, and experts from several Arab and international countries.
JUST President Prof. Khalid Al-Salem highlighted HRH Princess Alia’s continued support for veterinary medicine, animal health and welfare, and the One Health approach.
Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Prof. Myassar Alekish stated that the conference aims to translate the One Health concept into collaborative action by connecting veterinary medicine, public health, and environmental health, while strengthening partnerships among universities, government institutions, international organizations, and the private sector.
Organized in collaboration with FAO and WOAH, the three-day conference features scientific sessions, applied workshops, and an innovation exhibition. Key topics include zoonotic and emerging diseases, antimicrobial resistance, food safety, environmental and climate challenges, and advances in veterinary diagnostics and therapeutics.
