9th Regional Workshop in Artificial Intelligence in Pharmacy Education
The Faculty of Pharmacy at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) participated in the 9th Regional Workshop for the Development of Faculties of Pharmacy, hosted by Ajman University in the United Arab Emirates, under the title “Artificial Intelligence in Pharmacy Education.”
The Faculty’s delegation was headed by the Dean, Professor Qusai Al-Balas, accompanied by the Vice Deans Dr. Soraya Alnabulsi and Dr. Randa Khassawneh. This participation reflects the Faculty’s commitment to keeping pace with global advancements in pharmaceutical education and to continuously enhancing its academic outcomes.
The workshop addressed several advanced themes, most notably the integration of artificial intelligence applications into curriculum development and academic assessment methods, the enhancement of clinical training through modern simulation technologies, as well as the sustainability of pharmaceutical education and its alignment with rapid technological transformations in the healthcare sector.
On the sidelines of the workshop, the Faculty delegation held a number of academic meetings characterized by a strong sense of pride and belonging. These included meetings with distinguished colleagues and alumni who have made notable contributions to the journey of the Faculty of Pharmacy at JUST, among them Professor Amjad Qandeel, Dr. Mohammad Al-Qudah, as well as Faculty alumni Dr. Farida Alyan and Dr. Haya Yassin.
These meetings provided an important opportunity to strengthen academic networking, exchange expertise, and explore prospects for joint collaboration among faculties of pharmacy at regional academic institutions, contributing to the continuous improvement of pharmaceutical education and its outcomes.
