The Faculty of Pharmacy held a free medical day at Jumana Secondary School for Girls in Irbid
The Faculty of Pharmacy, represented by the campaign "Doctor Pharmacy towards Optimal Pharmaceutical Care", organized a free medical day in Irbid where the activity was held at Jumana Secondary School for Girls. The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Karem Alzoubi, opened the medical day in the presence of a number of faculty members from the Faculty of Pharmacy, and school administratives.
The activities of the medical day included several awareness and educational stations about various diseases and health problems that are common among Jordanians. Doctor of pharmacy students provided health education about diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, smoking, child health, and alternative and herbal medicine. Free blood glucose, and blood pressure measures were conducted. Patients were also attended by specialized doctors, got needed medication for free. The number of beneficiaries of the day were about 150 people.
The school administration appreciated the efforts of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the campaign of "Doctor of Pharmacy towards Optimal Pharmacological Care" for their efforts and their active role in serving the local community through the establishment of multiple free medical days and educational activities that enhance health awareness and education for the Jordanian people.
The event was organized and supervised by Dr. Tamam Alelaimat of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
