Cooperation between Jordan University of Science and Technology
and the Defence Ministry of Oman
The President of the University of Science and Technology, Dr. Omar Al-Jarrah, met with the delegation of the Defence Ministry of Oman, headed by the Deputy Director of Administration and Human Resources for Planning and Career Development, Ms. Shamsa Bint Jamal.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Vice President Dr. Sarhan Haddad, a discussion was held on the ways of cooperation in the fields of training, diplomas, engineering consultations held by the university and courses of career and training for officers and personnel of engineering services in the Defence Ministry of Oman and especially the engineering sector.
Dr. Al-Jarrah presented the most important programs and plans adopted by the University of Science and Technology, stressing that the university administration is keen to pay attention to the quality of graduates and their competencies, in order to maintain a high calibre of the level of graduates and their scientific and academic achievement.
The Omani military delegation met with the director of the consultative centre at the university, Dr. Bashar al-Omari, who discussed with them a number of educational and academic issues of interest to the military cadres of the Defence Ministry of Oman.
The head of the delegation praised the university's advanced capabilities in the field of training courses, engineering consultation and high efficiency of the university cadres in addition to the laboratories preparedness pertaining to the training courses.
The delegation visited a number of laboratories, engineering labs and the university library, where they were briefed by the supervisors about the services they provide to the university and the local community.
