Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) has launched a self-paced Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) titled; “Immunology for All" on the global learning platform “Coursera". The course designed for Arabic-speaking learners, prepared and delivered by Dr. Ammar Al-Dawood, an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine. 

Dr, Mahmoud Hammad, Director of the Center for E-Learning and Open Educational Resources, stated that this is the second self-paced online course introduced by the university on “Coursera". He emphasized that this approach corresponds to the university's vision to promote knowledge dissemination and expand opportunities for digital learning. He also pointed out that it reflects the university's commitment to adopt modern teaching and learning methods in higher education, along with its pursuit to support innovative initiatives that keep pace with global advancements. 

Dr. Hammad also highlighted that the staff at the Center for E-Learning and Open Educational Resources managed the course video recording, editing, instructional design, and graphic design. The course can be accessed via the following link:

It is worth noting that JUST signed a cooperation agreement with “Coursera" in 2021, becoming the first Jordanian university to establish a strategic partnership of this kind. This agreement provides the university faculty members with the opportunity to produce high-quality online courses targeting local, regional, and international audiences.
