Jordan University of Science and Technology hosts a workshop on digitizing cultural and archaeological heritage.

The Department of Design and Visual Communication at the College of Architecture and Design at Jordan University of Science and Technology hosted, today, Tuesday, a workshop on digitizing cultural and archaeological heritage supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) within the Ta'ziz Program.

The workshop, which brings together experts and students from Jordan, Germany, Iraq, and Lebanon, aims to develop an interactive application scenario for a digital model targeting and promoting tourism globally. The workshop focuses on teaching the digitization of heritage and archaeological sites using software and tools such as virtual reality and animation.

The workshop will cover various cultural and archaeological heritage sites in Jordan and North Jordan more particularly. It will provide potential work opportunities for participants on practical projects to develop digital prototypes for these sites, in addition to enhancing cultural communication between students and discussing future projects that enable university students to learn about various experiences.

It is worth noting that the Department of Design and Visual Communication at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Jordan University of Science and Technology is one of the main partners in this project with German, Arab, and local universities in a project lasting more than two years that includes the exchange of experiences and visits.
