Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) has signed a research and academic cooperation agreement with the University Center of Maghnia in Algeria, with the aim of strengthening joint collaboration between the two sides in engineering disciplines, particularly civil engineering, and developing research programs as well as the exchange of knowledge and academic expertise.

The agreement was signed at the campus of Jordan University of Science and Technology, in the presence of the University's Vice President, Prof. Muna Abu Dalo, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dorid Dalalah, and from the Algerian side, Dr. Guiz Amine. The agreement aims to support applied and joint research projects between researchers from both institutions, enhance co-supervision of graduate students, as well as facilitate the exchange of students and faculty members, in addition to organizing joint scientific and laboratory activities that serve national priorities in both countries.

During the meeting, both parties discussed the mechanisms for implementing the agreement to ensure the achievement of its objectives, focusing on leveraging scientific and laboratory capabilities to create innovative research opportunities that contribute to the development of the civil engineering sector and meet the needs of society and the labor market.

At the conclusion of the signing ceremony, the two sides affirmed their commitment to further strengthening channels of academic and research cooperation, in a manner that positively contributes to the quality of higher education and the advancement of innovation in both Jordan and Algeria.
