Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Technology (CSDST) organizes Training Workshop on Good Financial and Administrative Internal Governance

The Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Technology (CSDST) at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) successfully organized a comprehensive training workshop focused on "Good Financial and Administrative Internal Governance." The event, held within the framework of the project "Developing Effective Social Accountability Strategies for Better Health Outcomes within Jordan," brought together experienced participants to delve into essential topics related to financial governance, internal administrative governance, and the role of internal control and internal auditing in project implementation.

Under the guidance of Professor Dr. Ammar Almaaytah, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Technology (CSDST), the workshop aimed to deepen participants' understanding of financial and administrative governance concepts and principles. Attendees, comprising experienced project implementers from various university-operated centers, delved into topics such as the principles of financial governance, methods of internal administrative governance, and the role of internal control and internal auditing.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Almaaytah emphasized the workshop's objective of shedding light on governance concepts and applications, aligning them with the pursuit of quality, excellence, and performance control. He stressed that effective governance constitutes an integrated system designed to enhance individuals' experiences, elevate their capabilities, and activate accountability, ultimately improving the level of services offered to individuals and communities.

Dr. Almaaytah highlighted the broader commitment of the Center and the Jordan University of Science and Technology to cooperation standards and community engagement. This commitment, he noted, aligns with a social responsibility approach that prioritizes openness to the local community.

Expressing gratitude to the participants, Islam Al-Tamimi, Director of the Projects Department at the Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Technology (CSDST), emphasized the significance of the workshop. Conducted by financial governance expert Dr. Mohammad Al-Tamimi, the workshop was part of the larger "Developing Effective Social Accountability Strategies for Better Health Outcomes within Jordan," project. This initiative falls under the" Enhancing Social Accountability and Empowering Civil Society Institutions to Achieve Good Governance" project and is implemented in collaboration with the Al-Hayat Center. The project is co-funded by the European Union Delegation to Jordan and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), as part of the "Nazaha" project.
