Under the patronage of the President of Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), Professor Khaled El-Salem, the Deanship of Student Affairs organized its annual national celebration marking the 80th Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the anniversary of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein's assumption of constitutional powers, Accession to the Throne Day, Army Day, and the anniversary of the Great Arab Revolt.

The event was attended by the university's vice presidents, deans, academic and administrative staff members, and a large number of students. The celebration commenced with the Royal Anthem and a recitation from the Holy Qur'an, followed by speeches and patriotic performances highlighting Jordan's achievements and expressing pride in the nation and its Hashemite leadership.

In his address, El-Salem described Independence Day as a cherished national occasion that honors the sacrifices of the generations who laid the foundations of the modern Jordanian state. He emphasized that the occasion reflects the values of sovereignty, dignity, and national unity, while celebrating Jordan's remarkable progress and resilience.

He noted that, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordan has strengthened its regional and international standing while advancing a vision based on moderation, wisdom, and service to humanity. He also praised His Majesty's ongoing efforts to modernize state institutions and promote comprehensive reform across all sectors.

El-Salem highlighted the role of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II in advancing the Hashemite vision of youth empowerment through initiatives that support leadership, entrepreneurship, and active participation in national development. He stressed that Jordanian youth remain the country's most valuable asset and a driving force for its future.

He further affirmed that JUST continues to draw inspiration from this vision by enhancing educational excellence, research, and innovation, thereby contributing to the knowledge economy and sustainable development.

El-Salem also commended the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army and the security agencies for their unwavering efforts in safeguarding the Kingdom's security and stability, emphasizing that a secure environment remains essential for continued development and achievement.

For his part, the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Majed Masaadeh, underscored the importance of national occasions in fostering students' sense of belonging, loyalty, and national awareness. He reaffirmed the university's commitment to strengthening these values and encouraging students to contribute to Jordan's ongoing progress and prosperity.

The celebration featured patriotic and artistic performances by the university choir, reflecting pride in Jordan's national identity and loyalty to its Hashemite leadership. The event concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to serving Jordan and supporting its continued development, while praying for the Kingdom's enduring security, stability, and prosperity.
