Faculty of Nursing Discusses Enhancing Practical Training Quality in Collaboration with Health and Educational Sector Partners
April 21 /// The Faculty of Nursing at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) discussed, during an extensive meeting, ways to develop the quality of practical training for its students to keep pace with labor market requirements and enhance educational outcomes.
The meeting was held in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Nihaya Al-Sheyab, along with the administrative staff. Participants included several hospital directors and nursing directors from the Ministry of Health and the Royal Medical Services, in addition to directors of health centers and education directorates in the Northern Jordan.
Participants discussed the most prominent issues related to clinical training programs and the challenges students face during practical application periods in hospitals and health centers. They also explored mechanisms to strengthen integration between the academic and field aspects to ensure a more efficient and effective training experience.
Al-Sheyab emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships with various health and educational authorities, highlighting their pivotal role in providing a high-quality training environment. This environment enables students to acquire necessary practical skills and enhances their professional readiness according to the highest standards.
The meeting also included a survey of employers' needs to identify the specialized skills required and to work on aligning study plans with the rapid developments in the healthcare sector.
