The Deanship of Academic Development and Quality Assurance at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) organized a training workshop entitled “Capacity Building in EU-Funded Projects" over two days (November 3 and 10, 2025). The workshop is part of the accredited training series for faculty members for academic promotion and participation in scientific conferences.

The workshop was inaugurated by Professor Mohammad Al-Hamouri, Vice Dean of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, who emphasized the importance of empowering faculty members and researchers with the necessary skills to design and manage projects funded under European programs. He highlighted that such capacity-building initiatives contribute to enhancing the university's research competitiveness and leadership, in alignment with its vision and mission to foster innovation and international collaboration.

The workshop covered several key themes focusing on the European funding system, including proposal development, partnership building, budgeting, and reporting and follow-up requirements in accordance with the European Commission's project management standards. It also featured interactive sessions and case studies that provided participants with hands-on experience in applying best practices to ensure
