The Faculty of Pharmacy organizes the Pink Sunday event in collaboration with the Jordanian Breast Cancer Program.

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Jordan University of Science and Technology organized an event entitled “Pink Sunday", in collaboration with the Jordan Breast Cancer Program, on the occasion of the Global Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and as part of the faculty's role in promoting public and community health awareness.​

The event included a variety of educational and awareness activities aimed at spreading knowledge about breast cancer, methods of prevention, and the importance of early detection. It also featured informational booths presented by pharmacy students, reflecting their spirit of volunteerism and community service.

The event was inaugurated by Professor Qosay Al-Balas, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Reem Al-Ajlouni, Director of the Jordan Breast Cancer Program, in the presence of several faculty members and students.

In his speech, Dr. Al-Balas emphasized that organizing such an event embodies the university's mission of community service and health promotion. He commended the Jordan Breast Cancer Program for its vital role in supporting national efforts to raise awareness about breast cancer and promote a culture of early detection. He also affirmed that the Faculty of Pharmacy will continue to adopt health and awareness initiatives that benefit both the university and the local community.

This event comes as part of a series of community-based activities implemented by the Faculty of Pharmacy to reinforce its social responsibility and support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the area of health and well-being
