The fifth International Scientific Day of Dentistry, entitled “New Dentistry: Trends and Beyond"," began today, Wednesday, at the Jordan University of Science and Technology.
The Scientific Day aims to increase research participation in the dental sector in Jordan, demonstrate its excellence at the regional and global levels, and provide an opportunity for researchers and postgraduate students at the Faculty of Dentistry to submit their research summaries.
Professor Dr. Suhad Al-Jundi, Acting President of the University, opened the scientific day in the presence of Vice President Professor Dr. Mona Abu Dalu, and with the participation of an elite group of scientists and specialists from the various sectors of dentistry from the Royal Medical Services, the Ministry of Health, the private sector, Faculty members, and Faculty students.
Al-Jundi stressed that the scientific day comes as a practical translation of the outputs and applications of scientific research to always reach the new in dentistry, including innovations and applications that facilitate the way of life for modern people, and are consistent with the requirements and challenges of global sustainability to provide suitable conditions for future generations, noting that the College of Dentistry occupies An advanced position among the best 51-100 colleges according to the QS World University Rankings.
In turn, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Professor Rola Habashneh, said that the scientific day represents an important platform for exchanging ideas and experiences among the participants, and reflects the university's commitment to supporting scientific research and innovation in the field of dentistry, in addition to tangible progress in this field by adopting the latest innovations and technologies that enhance of quality health care.
On the sidelines of the scientific day, specialized scientific workshops and lectures presented by experts in this field will be held, in addition to an exhibition of modern medical devices and technologies used in dentistry, which provides an opportunity for participants to learn about the latest innovative products and solutions.
