Jordan University of Science and Technology Attracts International Funding for Entrepreneurial Projects

Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) has secured European research funding under the EUSEED project (2025–2028), following its official selection through a competitive call launched by the Jordanian Youth Innovation Forum in cooperation with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), with support from the European Union through the Interreg NEXT MED program.

The project aims to establish and fund university-based employment and innovation centers in Jordan and several countries across the region, including Cyprus, Egypt, Lebanon, and Palestine. It seeks to strengthen applied research, entrepreneurship, and innovation, while enhancing the employability of students and graduates.

The winning universities were announced during the annual event of the Jordanian Youth Innovation Forum, Future Pathways. JUST was represented at the event by Prof.  Muna Abu Dalo, Vice President of the University and Acting Director of the Center of Excellence for Creative Projects, and Prof. Wafaa Taan, Deputy Director of the Center.

University President Prof.  Khaled El-Salem stated that attracting international funding reflects the university's advanced standing at both regional and international levels and confirms its ability to compete successfully in European research programs. He noted that the EUSEED project represents a significant addition to the university's efforts to support innovation and entrepreneurship, empower students and graduates with practical skills aligned with labor market needs and digital transformation, and strengthen networking and collaboration with international academic and research institutions.

As part of this achievement, the university will receive €100,000 in financial support to equip a university employment and innovation center, implement advanced training and research programs, build the capacities of students and graduates, provide guidance and entrepreneurial incubation, and enhance regional and international networking opportunities in line with labor market requirements and digital transformation.

This success further underscores the university's leading position and competitive strength at both the regional and international levels and aligns with its strategic vision of linking higher education with innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.
