Ways of Cooperation between Jordan University of Science and Technology and the Japanese Embassy

27 May - Jordan University of Science and Technology welcomed a delegation from the Japanese Embassy in Amman and the JICA Foundation to discuss ways of joint cooperation and to expand the horizons of cultural and programmatic exchange.

 

The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Ajlouni, Vice President of the University. During the meeting, they discussed a number of topics of mutual interest, most notably enhancing cooperation in the field of cultural exchange, providing scholarships for students, supporting the teaching of the Japanese language on campus, and organizing training programs for academic and administrative staff at the university.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ali Ibnian, Director of the Language Center, Mr. Moaz Al-Enezi, Assistant Director, and the Japanese side was represented by Ms. Yamada, Head of the Cultural Department at the Japanese Embassy, and Ms. Ghufran Al-Hindawi.

Dr. Rafif Al-Zoubi and Engineer Mazen Al-Turaifi, as well as Engineer Khaled Arshidat, a member of the Irbid Emaar Foundation, also participated in the meeting as representatives of the local community.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Ajlouni appreciated the constructive suggestions made by the visiting delegation, stressing the university's keenness to expand the horizons of cooperation with leading international institutions to enhance its academic standing and open quality opportunities for its students.
