Within the framework of Jordan University of Science and Technology's interest in the rights and issues of persons with disabilities, in implementation of the Jordanian Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities of 2017, which urges all state institutions to integrate and enable persons with disabilities to participate effectively in society, Jordan University of Science and Technology launched the Accessibility Platform. And inclusive education, which deals with all matters of integrating persons with disabilities into the university community.

Prof.Khalid El-Salem, President of the University, confirmed that our students, regardless of their abilities, are the main pillar of the University and the focus of its primary interest, and inclusive education is a right approved by the Jordanian Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities No. 20 of 2017, and this platform is to confirm the University's commitment Science and technology with this legal approach.

In the interest of the university to provide a stable university environment, in which opportunities for success, academic excellence, and positive values are available with justice and equality, and to consolidate the concept of equal opportunities, the Deans' Council approved this week the instructions for academic facilities for students with disabilities. It is worth noting that the Access and Inclusive Education Platform of the Deanship of Student Affairs is the official body in the Jewel of Universities, and the first in Jordanian universities. Its goal is to empower students, faculty members, and employees with disabilities in their right to actively participate in all academic, social, and extracurricular activities at the university. By providing reasonable accommodations, accessible formats, assistive technology, and accessibility to persons with disabilities.
