The Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) has launched a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) entitled; "Object-Oriented Development Using C#" on Coursera; a global online learning platform; targeting Arabic learners.
Dr. Mahmoud Hammad, director of the Center for E-Learning and Open Education Resources at JUST, declared that this course is the first self-paced online course that has been launched on Coursera platform in Jordan, as well as the one among few courses that have been launched on the same platform in the Arab world. He also asserted the importance of this course in learning one of the most important programming languages required in the IT industry. The Center for E-Learning and Open Educational Resources, in cooperation with Coursera, supported the course instructor, Dr. Mahmoud Hammad, in designing, recording, and editing the course content. It is noteworthy that JUST has signed a cooperation agreement with Coursera Inc. to produce Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). • The content of the course can be accessed at: www.coursera.org/just |
