Starting the Activities of the 3rd International Conference "Coordinating Engineering for Sustainability and Resilience" CESARE22​

Deputizing for the President of Jordan University of Science and Technology, Prof. Khalid El-Salem, the Vice President, Prof. Wail Taifour, patronized the opening of the activities of the 3rd International Conference "Coordinating Engineering for Sustainability and Resilience" CESARE22 which is organized by the Civil Engineering Department at JUST in coordination with Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and the University of Birmingham (UK).

Prof. Wail Taifour stated that this conference embodies the urban innovation that Jordan is witnessing nowadays in all fields, especially in structures and sustainable future cities in a way that meets with the modern day requirements, and at the same time, reflects the vision of the Jordanian Government toward having an effective national building strategy that can create jobs, reduce unemployment, and bridge the gap between the academia and practice.

Prof. Taifour added that the Faculty of Engineering at JUST has been always a leader in research and development and it is considered to be the first faculty in Jordan to receive the ABET accreditation in its mission to be a reputable international academic institution in the Middle East which qualifies JUST to be major partner in the development of the manpower and national economic renaissance.

Prof. Khairedin Abdalla, Co-chairman of CESARE22, stated that during the three days of the conference, scientists and engineers from the Academia, Research and Practice will present their most recent research outcomes and exchange ideas and opinions in a fruitful dialogue.

Researchers from different countries including: Jordan, Palestine, UAE, Saudia Arabia, Turkey, Greece, United Kingdome, Italy, Netherlands, USA, Canada, Lebanon, Romania, and Portugal are participating in this conference.
