U.S. Ambassador Henry T. Wooster visits

Prof. Khaled Al-Salem, President of JUST and Chairman of the Board of Directors of King Abdullah University Hospital (KAUH), received the American Ambassador in Amman, Mr. Henry Wooster. The meeting was attended by the Director-General of KAUH, Prof. Muhammad Al-Ghazu, and the Director of Princess Haya Biotechnology Center (PHBC), Dr. Saeed Jaradat.
Ambassador Wooster praised both the university's academic and scientific level as well as the hospital's, emphasizing the embassy's desire to build bridges of cooperation and networking with Jordan's academic and scientific institutions. Prof. Al-Salem, for his part, expressed his pride in the Kingdom's historic ties with the US.
Dr. Al-Ghazu pointed out the recent steps and strategies implemented at KAUH, which included the pandemic response, the growth of the hospital's services, and an increase in the number of beds and intensive care beds.
During a tour, Dr. Saeed Jaradat, explained PHBC's role in applied scientific and research fields, its contribution to solving a number of national issues, and the services it provides.
The center is a leading research center affiliated to JUST within its campus, which includes KAUH, and provides support in the fields of scientific research, diagnosis, training, genomics, and proteins.
