Dean of Nanotechnology Institute Meets First Cohort of Bachelor’s Students of Nanotechnology and Materials Science Program
In a landmark event, the Dean of the Nanotechnology Institute, Prof. Mohammd-Ali Al-Omari, met with the inaugural cohort of students enrolled in the cutting-edge Nanotechnology and Materials Science program.
The first batch of students, eager and enthusiastic about the new era of scientific innovation, engaged in insightful discussions with Institute's academic and adminstrative staff about the future of nanotechnology, its applications, and the immense opportunities that lie ahead in both research and industry. The program, launched this year, promises to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to lead in one of the most dynamic fields in modern science.
The students in this cohort represent the future of nanotech innovation. This program will not only empower them with technical expertise but also provide them with the tools to solve global challenges across a range of industries, from medicine to renewable energy."
This gathering, which took place in the institute's cutting-edge facilities, offered students an exciting firsthand look at the labs where much of the groundbreaking research in nanotechnology is conducted. The tour was led by engineers from the institute who demonstrated the advanced tools and machinery used in nanotechnology and materials science applications. Students were able to witness live demonstrations of various experimental setups, such as Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Scanning Electron microscopy (SEM), and advanced material synthesis.
