Participation of students from Jordan University of Science and Technology in the National Technology Festival

On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Jordan witnessed a distinguished event full of creativity and excellence, as Jordan University of Science and Technology students participated in the National Technology Festival.


The festival represents an opportunity to display and discuss innovative graduation projects, as the event witnessed the participation of more than 100 graduation projects from various Jordanian universities, with only 44 projects selected for the project exhibition.


Among these distinguished projects, the project of students Assem Al-Qaraawi, Fadl Al-Masry, Ahmed Kanj, Khader Al-Malouh, and Abdul Rahman Al-Saoub shone, under the generous supervision of the distinguished professors Dr. Malak Abdullah and Dr. Mahmoud Hammad. This project, titled “JBUS,” is an innovative mobile application that aims to facilitate the transportation process for users.


The JBUS application provides a convenient and safe means of transportation between places, as users can easily determine their location and the place they want to reach, with the ability to pay directly via phone, providing them with a comfortable and easy travel experience.


The participation of Jordan University of Science and Technology students in this national festival comes from their continuous efforts and dedication to developing innovative technological solutions that serve society and contribute to improving the quality of life.


​Dr. Malak Abdullah, Head of the Computer Science Department, and Dr. Muhammad Al-Shaboul from the Computer Engineering Department also participated in the project evaluation process during the exhibition. This participation represents a valuable addition to the academic and technological scene in Jordan. It highlights the pioneering role played by the University of Science and Technology in developing and enhancing students’ skills and engaging them in the fields of research and innovation.​
