Jordan University of Science and Technology won first place in the Cyber Warriors competition

December 13 /// The Jordan University of Science and Technology, represented by the College of Computer and Information Technology, won first place in the Cyber Warriors competition, which was sponsored by a representative of His Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah, His Excellency the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Mr. Ahmed Al Hanandeh.

The competition, which was organized by the National Center for Cybersecurity (NCSC Jordan) in cooperation with Al-Hussein Technical University, was held over two consecutive days, including 35 challenges. Approximately 750 male and female contestants applied for it, while 200 participants qualified, including 65 teams, representing more than 20 universities and schools worldwide, kingdom level.

The Jordan University of Science and Technology participated in several teams that obtained advanced positions, and the winning team in the advanced stage “Net Cats” consisted of students Muhammad Al-Falaylah and Muhammad Amair. The PWD team also ranked fifth in the advanced stage under the leadership of student Ayoub Al-Khasawneh, in addition to the N3V3RM1ND team ranked eighth under the leadership of student Rama Al-Khudair.

In the beginners stage, the hr.wolves team consisting of students Hammam Bani Issa, Ahmed Al-Suqur, Yahya Awadeh and Ali Darabkeh won the fourth place, and the Sweet Chili team consisting of students Daniel Al-Zoubi, Muhammad Al-Rashed, Muhammad Anaqra and Abdul Rahman Al-Ajwi got the tenth place, and the CPU Hackers team The SYN-ACK team, composed of students Omar Attia and Baraa Zaarir, ranked 22nd, in addition to the cyborgs team, consisting of students Abdelaziz Tbeishat, Muhammad Otoum and Muhammad Al-Momani Ali. who ranked twenty-fifth


The Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Mounir Bani Yassin, expressed his pride in the student's achievement of advanced positions in the world, praising the students' efforts and their endeavor to participate in competitions that support their scientific careers, hone their practical skills, and enhance their spirit of innovation and creativity.

​The competition was attended by the Head of the National Center for Cybersecurity, Eng. Bassam Maharmeh, the President of Al-Hussein Technical University, Prof. Dr. Ismail Al-Hanti, representatives of the sponsoring companies of the tournament, and a large group of the two working bodies at Al-Hussein Technical University and the National Center for Cybersecurity, in addition to participating student teams from various Jordanian schools and universities.
