Jordan University of Science and Technology students won advanced positions in the National Programming Championship

Thursday, October 20 //  Jordan University of Science and Technology achieved advanced positions in the fourth edition of the national programming competition in the applicant's category, which was organized by the National Committee for Programming Competitions and the Jordanian Coders Association, with the participation of 86 teams from most Jordanian universities.


The University was represented by seven teams from the College of Computer and Information Technology, to occupy the third place at the level of the participating Jordanian universities, the (divide And Krunker) team, which was represented by the students: Munther Abu Zeina, Yazan Stetia, and Osama Shkoukani. The FATHER team, which was represented by the students, also won Abdul Rahman Al-Ajlouni, Ahmed Suleiman, and Iyad Al-Azzam ranked second in the “Seniors” category, thus qualifying the two winning teams to participate in the African and Arab Collegiate Programming Championship 2022 ACPC, which will be held in Egypt with the participation of various universities in Arab countries.


The Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Mounir Bani Yassin, expressed his pride in the students achieving advanced positions in the championship and said that such competitions develop the spirit of competition and creativity among students, and work to enhance their mental skills in thinking and analysis, stressing the importance of supporting young people and valuing this for our students. achievement.


The competition, which is held annually on several local, regional, and international stages, concluded with a ceremony sponsored by the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmed Hanandeh and included honoring the winning students.
