On Tuesday, June 21, 2022, the 13th International Conference on Communication and Information Technology Systems (ICICS'22), organized by the College of Computer and Information Technology at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, started with the participation of representatives from the Arab and foreign countries and international lecturers specialized in the field of information technology.
The Vice President of the Jordan University of Science and Technology, Prof. Ahmed Al-Ajlouni, during his patronage of the opening ceremony, on behalf of Prof. Khaled Al-Salem, President of the University, stressed that the conference constitutes an additional building block for scientific efforts aimed at presenting the latest developments in scientific and practical technologies and developments, and discussing issues related to computer technology and exchanging knowledge and experiences. developments and learn about the experiences of developed countries in these areas.
He added that the computer technology sector constitutes an important and essential aspect of the infrastructure needed to develop the various national sectors, which necessitates us to keep pace with the latest scientific and practical progress and development in this field.
The Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology and the conference head, Prof. Ismail Al-Hamidi, said that international and famous lecturers in specialized fields such as algorithms, software engineering, smart systems, cloud computing, computer networks and their security, databases, information systems, artificial intelligence, and data mining will participate in the conference. Data, knowledge management, e-learning, health information systems, internet and shared computing, human-computer interaction, mobile applications, computer engineering, computer graphics, computer manufacturing applications, nanotechnology, game software, wireless computer networks, simulator, information security, Web technologies, multimedia and image processing.
Al-Hamidi added that all (165) scientific researches have been evaluated, and (84) scientific papers have been accepted from (22) Arab and foreign countries.
For his part, Prof. Muhannad Qwaider, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the Conference, indicated that there will be ten specialized sessions distributed over the days of the conference, which will last for two days, on the topics of data science, security, and privacy, digital forensics, Internet of things, cloud and high-performance computing, software and web engineering, and media. Multimedia, computer vision and image processing, artificial intelligence and machine learning, information systems, natural language processing and its applications, health informatics, self-driving vehicles, communication systems, electronics, and signal processing. All papers will be published in conference publications, the IEEE Digital Library, as well as two scientific journals. Attendance at the scientific conference sessions will be open to all interested.
