Students of the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology achieved eighth place globally in the HackDay CTF 2022 finals competition at the level of university students around the world, which was held at ESIEE Paris in Paris-France, with the participation of 23 teams from more than eight countries from around the world, after winning an advanced position in Qualifying competition in which more than 70 teams participated.

The university team included students from the Department of Networks Engineering and Security, who are Abdul Aziz Irsheidat, Muhammad Al-Filaila, Bilal Al-Qurna, Saif Al-Mashqabeh, and Hisham Abu Bakr.

This competition also aims to empower students' skills in the areas of information security and ethical hacking, and it included challenges from various areas of information security such as web application penetration testing, digital forensics, encryption, reverse engineering, and others.

The participation of students in this competition is a representation of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Jordan University of Science and Technology, as they are the only Jordanian team participating in that competition.

We congratulate them on this achievement and ask God to grant them continued success.
