The President of Jordan University of Science and Technology, Prof. Khalid El-Salem, met with the faculty members at the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology. During the meeting, El-Salem confirmed that the university is characterized by a steady increase in published research papers, which is reflected in the scientific research and the quality of its outputs. He also pointed out that information technology is witnessing a major and rapid transformation in concepts, ideas, and applications.

Al-Salem stressed the need for all university employees to combine efforts to advance the university academically and administratively, to work seriously to achieve horizontal and vertical integration, and to face challenges in both directions.

​Al-Salem listened to the suggestions of the attendees, answered their inquiries, and exchanged with them views that focused on the mechanisms of employing technology in developing study plans with them and improving the level of technical services provided to students at the center of the teaching process, emphasizing the need to deal flexibly within the instructions and regulations in force, and work in a team spirit.​
