The “while(true)” team, representing the Jordan University of Science and Technology, achieved a remarkable feat by placing third in a national programming competition featuring teams from various Jordanian universities.

During the six-hour competition, participants were tasked with analysing a real-world problem and designing and developing an innovative software solution in accordance with the latest software engineering principles, thereby demonstrating their analytical, creative and teamwork skills.

The team consisted of the following students:

• Lana Al-Samardli
• Muna Al-Khatib
• Sadeel Al-Qara’an
• ​Tala Jaradat

The Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology, Prof. Munir Bani Yassin, praised this achievement. He congratulated the team members, emphasising that their accomplishment reflects the college’s outstanding academic standards, as well as their competence and ability to compete at a national level.

He added that the college is committed to providing a stimulating learning environment that supports creativity and innovation and prepares graduates with the knowledge and skills to excel in computing and information technology fields. He noted that participating in such competitions helps students to hone their skills, enhance their problem-solving abilities and learn to work as a team, as well as linking academic knowledge to practical application.

Bani Yassin emphasised that this achievement aligns with the Jordan University of Science and Technology’s vision of supporting excellence and innovation, and of encouraging its students to participate actively in scientific and technical competitions. This raises the university’s profile and strengthens its presence and distinction at both the local and international levels.
