A workshop on the "TechForward" initiative to link graduation projects with industry
In response to the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Authority's plan to develop information technology programs, the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology at Jordan University of Science and Technology organized an introductory workshop on the “TechForward” initiative. The workshop was held under the supervision of Prof. Munir Masadeh, Dean of the Faculty. The initiative is implemented by the Intaj Association with the support of GIZ and in cooperation with private sector companies.
The initiative aims to:
is to link student graduation projects to the requirements of the labor market, strengthen the partnership between universities and the industrial sector, and contribute to the transformation of academic ideas into viable, marketable projects.
The workshop was presented by:
Dr. Jafar Shahabat, the director of Scope X Training and Consulting and the TechForward initiative at Intaj. He explained that the initiative creates effective communication bridges between academics, students, and companies from the early stages of project development.
Dr. Malik Qasaymeh, vice dean of the faculty, emphasized that these initiatives represent a real opportunity to guide students toward practical projects that support digital transformation in Jordan and align education outcomes with labor market needs.

Faculty members, graduation project supervisors, and students attended the workshop in remarkable numbers. They expressed interest in the initiative and support for linking academic education with practical reality.
At the end of the meeting, it was announced that subsequent meetings would be organized with students selected to participate in the initiative. These meetings are in preparation for the launch of applied graduation projects in partnership with local companies.
