Jordan University of Science and Technology tops the Jordanian Collegiate Programming Contest (JCPC) for the second consecutive year

On September 29, 2025, the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) won first place in the Jordanian Collegiate Programming Contest (JCPC 2025) for the second consecutive year. The contest was hosted by the Jordan University of Applied Sciences and featured more than 100 teams from various Jordanian universities.


The JUST team consisted of Ibrahim Al-Rabie, Yassin Hussein, and Omar Ali, all studying computer science and computer information systems. Dr. Malak Abdullah supervised the team, which won first place and received the championship shield, competition cup, and gold medals.


The university's second team, consisting of Mohammad Abdullah (software engineering), Ayham Al-Salman (computer science), and Sharaf Makahla (computer engineering), won third place and gold medals. The third team, consisting of Mohammad Qawasmeh (network engineering), Saleh Al-Naji (computer engineering), and Moataz Awaqla (computer engineering), came in seventh place and won bronze medals.


All three teams qualified to represent Jordan in the Arab Programming Contest (ACPC), which is scheduled to take place in Luxor, Egypt, next December.


The dean of the faculty of computer and information technology, Prof. Munir Bani Yassin, emphasized that this distinction reflects the university's success in preparing programmers by developing practical courses and providing an advanced training environment. For his part,


, the dean of student affairs, Prof. Majid Masada, expressed pride in the students' achievements. He noted that these successes reflect the university's support and the effectiveness of its extracurricular activities.


This victory follows the university's first-place finish in the previous edition, further solidifying its reputation as a hub for creativity and innovation and a premier destination for cultivating talent capable of competing regionally and internationally.
