A delegation of computer game design and development students participate in Tech Connect: Esports Edition

A delegation of students from the Computer Game Design and Development Program at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, accompanied by the academic supervisor, Professor Samer Shatnawi, participated in Tech Connect: Esports Edition, which was held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the eSports Dome (The ARC) in King Hussein Business Park, organized by JEG Esports and in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and the Jordanian Esports Federation.


The participation came in response to an official invitation extended by the organizers to the Head of the Ministry, Dr. Qasem Abu Al-Haija, as part of the efforts to enhance interaction between the academic sector and the gaming and e-sports sector.


The event aimed to highlight the intersection between technology and e-sports through a series of interactive activities and technical competitions, most notably

  • Tech Master Build Challenge
  • A roundtable discussion titled: Technology, Gaming and eSports in Jordan
  • Competitive eSports tournaments
  • Interactive games and contests
  • ​Live streaming of the activities and events


The student delegation showed great interaction with the activities of the event, allowing them to have direct contact with industry experts and the community of gamers and developers, in addition to learning about the latest developments in the world of interactive technology and gaming.


Prof. Mounir Bani Yassin, Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology, appreciated the role of such events in enhancing students' skills and connecting them to practical reality, stressing the importance of participating in technical forums that develop creativity and open new professional horizons for students.


This participation underlines the University of Science and Technology of Jordan's keenness to support its students in creative fields.
