With the participation of 80 teams from different Jordanian universities: The Cybersecurity Department at the College of Computer and Information Technology organizes the RLCTF National Cybersecurity Competition
The Department of Cybersecurity at the College of Computer and Information Technology, under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Dr. Qasem Abu Al-Haija , and organized by the Student Competitions and Innovations Committee team consisting of:
- Karam Al-Hamoud (Al-Omari) - Team Leader
- Anis Al-Eidah, Anas Gharaibeh, Hazem Qatousa, Ahmed Juma, and Hala Abu Labdeh.
Under the coordination of the department's representative - Qusay Al-Omari, the National Cybersecurity Competition, with the participation of 80 teams from various Jordanian universities in the qualifying stage, which reflects the growing interest of students in the field of information security and cyberspace.
Participating teams faced advanced technical challenges in multiple areas such as malware analysis, penetration testing, cryptography, digital forensics, and computer networks, where their performance was evaluated according to precise criteria that simulate real-life threats in this vital field.
A total of 40 teams made it to the final stage, where they were able to showcase their analytical and technical skills in a professional simulation environment.
The final day of the competition began with registration from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., followed by the official opening of the competition, which was presented by Dr. Malik Qasaymeh, Vice Dean of the College, and Dr. Qasem Abu Al-Haija , Head of the Cybersecurity Department, who welcomed the participating teams and emphasized the importance of this event in supporting students' technical creativity.
At the conclusion of the event, the results were announced, and the Dean of the College, Prof. Muneer Bani Yassin, honored the first five teams, where cups and medals were distributed.
