Jordan University of Science and Technology wins first place in the JCPC 2024 National Programming Competition

In a remarkable achievement that reflects the excellence of the Jordan University of Science and Technology in the field of programming, the university teams topped the results of the 2024 National Programming Competition, which was held by the Jordanian Programmers Association on Friday and Saturday, November 8 and 9, 2024, and brought together more than 120 teams from various Jordanian universities at the University of Philadelphia. The first-place team my back hurts, consisting of students Ibrahim Al-Rabea, Ahmad Suleiman, and Manthar Abu Zeina and supervised by Dr. Malak Abdullah from the Jordanian University of Science and Technology, achieved an exceptional achievement. In addition, the university was able to achieve five out of ten places, as in addition to the first place, the university teams scored fourth, fifth, eighth and tenth places. The fourth place went to LaTetmada team consisting of students Mohammed Abdulghani, Omar Ali and Rayan Al-Omari, while the fifth place was achieved by Helix students Omar Ali, Yasin Ahmed and Sharaf Makahleh, and the eighth place was achieved by students Moataz Awakleh, Mohammed Ahmed and Saleh Al-Naji, and the tenth place by Ayham Al-Salman, Yahya Baraka and Mahmoud Al-Zoubi under the supervision of Dr. Malak Abdullah for all teams of the university.

These amazing achievements were honored in a special ceremony attended by the Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology, Prof. Mounir Bani Yassin, who expressed his pride in the exceptional performance of the students. He emphasized that this success is a testament to the dedication and continuous efforts by students and faculty members at the university.

The University of Science and Technology of Jordan continues to strengthen its position as a beacon of academic excellence and scientific research in the Kingdom, as this achievement adds a new page to its record of achievements in the fields of information technology and programming.
